Is there a complaint of insufficient cooling?

Check all wiring for loose connections

Enter the voltage at the unit (unit operating)

Enter the amp-draw on the condenser fan motor

Enter the amp-draw on the blower motor

Gauge the unit and check refrigerant charge if there is a complaint of insufficient cooling

Condenser Coil Cleaning and Inspection

Clean the condenser coil with a water hose

Inspect the condenser coil for cleanliness

Visual Inspection for Oil Leaks

Inspect for evidence of oil leaks on

Is there any evidence of oil leaks?

Check for manufacturer's lubrication instructions on the motor

Are manufacturer's lubrication instructions available?

If no instructions are available, ensure the following

Check the condition of the filters

Clean the filter if it is dirty

Replace the filter if it is damaged

Ensure the 'AIR FLOW DIRECTION' marking is correctly aligned when reinstalling the filter

Verify that the filters are U.L.C certified or equivalent for use in Canada

Check connecting lines and coil for oil leaks

Check condensate drain pan, if necessary

Check condensate drain line, if necessary
