Check for manufacturer's lubrication instructions on the motor

Are manufacturer's lubrication instructions available?

If no instructions are available, follow these guidelines

Locate oiling ports on the motor

Oil the motor bearings at the oiling ports

Check connecting lines and coil for oil leaks

Check condensate drain pan, if necessary

Check condensate drain line, if necessary

Owner complaints about insufficient cooling

Check all wiring for loose connections

Enter the voltage at the unit (unit operating)

Record the amp-draw on the condenser fan motor

Record the amp-draw on the blower motor

Condenser Coil Cleaning and Inspection

Clean the condenser coil with a water hose

Inspect the condenser coil for cleanliness

Visual Inspection for Oil Leaks

Inspect for evidence of oil leaks on

Is there any evidence of oil leaks?

Describe any issues found during inspection

Check the condition of the filters

Is the filter U.L.C certified or equivalent for use in Canada?

Clean the filter if it is dirty

Replace the filter if it is damaged

Ensure the 'AIR FLOW DIRECTION' marking is correctly aligned when re-installing the filter
