Door Pre-Hanging Machine Maintenance
Every 300 Cycles
Use pressured air to blow off dust and debris on entire machine
Blow out dust collection cans
Every 600 Cycles
Check air pressure gages and adjust if necessary
Inspect air filter water traps and empty if necessary
Inspect tooling for wear (Drill Bits, Cutting Tools, Screw Driver Bits)
Lubricate the inside of the hoppers with a light coat of dry silicone spray
Empty dust collection units
Screwdriver Bit Replacement
Preparation
Turn off all power to the machine
Follow lockout/tagout procedures as detailed in the safety section of Chapter 1 of this manual
Disconnect Air Supply
Disconnect air from Six-Shooter using the air-connect slide valves
Did you hear air being released when sliding the valves?
Access Screwdriver Bit Holders
Pull the Six-Shooter assembly slightly toward the machine
Locate the back slide near the air valves and push slide away from you
Bolt Drill Change
Remove the bit on the pre-drill or router assemblies using the shaft wrench and collet wrench
Inspect and clean collet assembly
Insert the new bit into the assembly
Adjust the bit depth before tightening the collet assembly
Lightly tighten and torque to specified values
Ensure the arbor is not bottomed out in the back of the motor
Bore Drill Change
Bit Removal
Use the shaft wrench and collet wrench to remove the bit on the pre-drill or router assemblies. See photo.
When loosening the collet, check if it tightens up, crack again and continue.
Collet Assembly Inspection
Inspect and clean collet assembly. Refer to Figure 5-20 on page 13.
New Bit Installation
Insert the new bit into the assembly.
Adjust the bit depth. Bottom out the bit and pull the bit up about 1.4 inches.
Lightly tighten the collet assembly.
Router / Pre-Drill Bit Replacement
Bit Removal
Use a 17 mm shaft wrench and a 3/8 “collet wrench to remove the bit on the pre-drill or router assemblies.
Collet Assembly Maintenance
Inspect and clean collet assembly.
Lightly attach collet assembly on drill.
New Bit Installation
Insert the new bit into the assembly.
Adjust the router bit depth to 1 3/4 inches.
Adjust the drill bit depth to 2.0 inches.
