Transmission-Hydraulic System Oil Level Check

Remove dipstick and wipe it clean

Insert dipstick fully and check oil level

Is oil level between full mark and end of dipstick?

Rotate clevis to obtain specified free play

Replace filters and lubricate bearings

Repack front wheel bearings (2WD)

Remove hub cap, cotter pin, and wheel nut

Remove washer and wheel bearings. Clean all parts in solvent and blow dry with compressed air. Replace any worn or damaged parts.

Pack bearing with multipurpose grease. Coat seal with same grease.

Reinstall bearings, washer and wheel nut.

Tighten wheel nut until a slight drag is felt when hub is turned. Back nut off just enough to install cotter pin in hole in wheel spindle.

Flush Cooling System and Replace Thermostat

Remove thermostat cover and thermostat

Tighten cap screws to 47 N.m (35 lb-ft) after reinstalling cover without thermostat

Flush system with water and run engine for 10 minutes

Flush system with Radiator Cleaner and follow cleaner instructions

Drain system immediately after flushing with cleaner

Flush system with clean water and run engine for 10 minutes

Inspect tractor for loose hardware

Fuel Filter Replacement Procedure

Remove retaining ring (C) and filter

Change transmission/hydraulic oil and filter

Lower rockshaft to remove trapped oil

Remove drain plug from transmission case (A) and drain out oil

If equipped with MFWD axle, remove drain plug (B) in drop housing

Replace filter (C) and apply a film of oil to new filter gasket

Refill system with transmission-hydraulic oil

Wait 5 minutes and check oil level at dipstick (D)
