10 Hourly / Daily Maintenance
Test safety systems
Check engine oil level
Park the machine safely
Remove dipstick (A). Wipe with a clean cloth.
Install dipstick
Remove dipstick
Check oil level on dipstick. Oil level should be between levels (B) and (C) on dipstick.
If oil level is low: a. Remove oil fill cap (D).
Add proper engine oil until oil level is within operating range on dipstick. Do not overfill.
10 Hourly Maintenance
Check wheel bolt torque
Check cab rollover protection system mounting hardware torque
Check windshield wiper arm mounting hardware torque
1200 Hourly Maintenance
Check and clean inline hydraulic filter.
Position drain pan under filter (I).
Remove filter from lines.
Remove nut (J) with internal element from case.
Clean case and internal element with a mild solvent. Allow to dry.
Check engine valve clearance. See your John Deere dealer.
200 Hourly Maintenance
Change engine oil and filter
Run engine to warm the oil
Park machine safely
Place drain pan under oil drain located on left side of engine
Remove drain plug
Wipe dirt from around oil filter
Turn filter counter-clockwise to remove
Put a light coat of clean engine oil on the gasket of new filter
Install replacement oil filter by turning filter clockwise until gasket contacts filter base. Tighten additional one-half turn
400 Hourly Maintenance
Change engine oil and filter (if John Deere PLUS-50™ is used).
Run engine to warm the oil.
Park machine safely.
Place drain pan under oil drain located on left side of engine.
Remove drain plug.
Wipe dirt from around oil filter.
Turn filter counter-clockwise to remove.
Put a light coat of clean engine oil on the gasket of new filter.
Install replacement oil filter by turning filter clockwise until gasket contacts filter base. Tighten additional one-half turn.
