Remove seed hopper from machine

Remove wing nuts that connect finger pick-up mechanism to bottom of seed hopper

Remove three screws and baffle from front of finger pick-up assembly

Check if springs are holding tabs of fingers in contact with carrier plate

Measure gap between finger holder and carrier

Check for excessive build up of seed treatment material or chaff beneath finger holder

Remove cotter pin, nut lock and adjusting nut from shaft

Lift finger pick-up assembly off shaft and clean

Cleaning Insecticide and/or Herbicide Hoppers

Cleaning Vacuum Manifold System

Turn on vacuum blower(s) and set hydraulic flow to 75 percent

One at a time, remove vacuum hoses from meters. Inspect and clean all straw and/or foreign material from both attaching hose ends. Shake hose for a few seconds and replace it on meter

Remove end caps from manifold tubes one at a time, then reinstall

Sign off on the 50 Hourly Maintenance

Connect monitor harness to sensor harness.

Insert seed tube (A) into planting unit so the hook (B) locks on alignment pin (C).

Position seed tube so tabs (D) lock into holes.

To remove seed tube, squeeze front and rear (E) of tube with fingers until tabs (D) release from casting and pull upward.

Replacing Fingers—Finger Pick-Up Meter.

Inspecting Seed Belt—Finger Pick-Up Meter.

Drive Shaft Bearing—Finger Pick-Up Meter.

Tighten Liquid Fertilizer Hose Clamps
