Checking Motion Control Linkages

Rear of machine raised enough for rear tires to rotate freely

Throttle lever set to the fast position

Do the rear drive wheels begin to creep?

Adjusting Motion Control Linkages

Engine stopped and park brake locked

Check air cleaner elements and replace as necessary

Change engine oil and filter or annually

Park machine safely on a level surface

Put container under oil drain area

Remove drain plug on end hose. Allow oil to drain into container

Cleaned vehicle’s painted metal surfaces

Applied high-quality automotive wax

Repairing Minor Scratches (surface scratch)

Cleaned area to be repaired thoroughly

Used automotive polishing compound to remove surface scratches

Repairing Deep Scratches (bare metal or primer showing)

Cleaned area to be repaired with rubbing alcohol or mineral spirits

Mower deck lowered to the lowest cutting height position

Belt shield disengaged from grommet

Steps repeated for the other shield

Belt shield slid into position under frame

Grommet engaged with belt shield
