Park machine on a hard, level surface.

Stop the engine and lock the park brake.

Raise the mower deck to the transport position.

Lift the operator seat and lock into position.

Measure length (A).

Turn the hex nut (B) clockwise to increase the spring tension.

Turn the hex nut (B) counterclockwise to decrease the spring tension.

Disengage belt shield from grommet

Slide belt shield toward outside of deck to remove

Screw, hardened washer, large concave blade washer, and blade removed?

Replacement blade installed with blade wing facing toward top of mower deck?

Hardened washer, blade, large concave blade washer, and cap screw installed?

Blade bolts tightened to specification?

Machine lowered?

Mower deck adjusted to a desirable cutting height?

Sign off on the mower blades replacement

Clean area around dipstick before removing it

Check mark

Remove dipstick and wipe it clean

Check mark

Install dipstick in tube, but do not screw onto threads

Check mark

Check oil level on dipstick; make sure that oil level is between the ADD and FULL marks

Check mark

If oil is low, add oil to bring oil level no higher than the FULL mark on dipstick

Check mark

If oil level is above the FULL mark, drain to the proper level
