10 Hourly / Daily Maintenance
Check Engine Oil
Check Coolant Levels
Drain Water Separator
Check Transmission, Hydraulic, and Axle Oil Levels
Park tractor on level ground.
Start tractor engine and warm transmission/axle oil to 30° C (86° F).
After oil is at correct temperature, drive to a level surface, shift transmission to Park and set engine speed at 2100 rpm.
Let tractor run for a minimum of 5 minutes at 2100 rpm without applying brakes.
After 5 minutes reduce engine speed to 1200 rpm.
1500 Hourly Maintenance
Change Transmission/Axle, and Hydraulic Oil
Park tractor on level ground
Remove plug (A) and drain transmission
Remove plug (B) and clean sump screen
Reinstall sump screen and plug (B)
Drain both axles (three plugs on each axle) (C) and (D)
Drain PTO drop box, if equipped
Install all drain plugs
Replace transmission oil filter
2000 Hourly Maintenance
Check Axle End Play (Normal Use)
Drain, Flush, and Refill Engine Cooling System
Open hood
Remove de-aeration tank cap (A) slowly and when engine is cool
For tractors equipped with Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), turn key to Run. Turn ATC controls to ON; ATC indicator must show ”HI”
Remove three cap screws (B), then remove panel (C) beneath radiator drain valve
Open radiator drain valve and drain coolant into catch pan through drain hose (D)
Open engine drain valve (E) and drain coolant into catch pan
For 9.0 L engine, remove EGR cooler vent plug (A)
500 Hourly Maintenance
Oil Fill Vari-Cool Fan Drive and Driven Sheaves-For Tier 3 and Stage III B Engine
Cleaning Optional Fuel Water Separator Filter Element (If Equipped)
Turn off engine.
Open drain valve and drain fuel from bowl.
Remove cap screws (A) and lid (B).
Remove spring cassette (C).
Lift out filter element by the handle (D).
Wash filter in clean diesel fuel or mineral spirits.
Inspect filter for damage. If damage, replace with new filter.
100 Hourly Maintenance
Replace Primary and Secondary Fuel Filters
Clean exterior of fuel filter/water separator assembly and surrounding area
Drain water and contaminants from primary filter into suitable container by opening drain valve (A) on bottom of separator
Disconnect the water-in-fuel (WIF) sensor connector (B) from primary filter
Remove primary filter (C) and secondary filter (D) and discard
Lubricate gasket for primary fuel filter with fuel, and install canister onto base. Tighten 3/4 turn after packing contacts base
Lubricate primary filter water separator gasket with fuel and install onto filter canister. Tighten 3/4 turn after packing contacts filter
Lubricate secondary fuel filter gasket with fuel and install filter onto base. Tighten 3/4 of a full turn after gasket contacts the base
