Injection Nozzles Lubrication Points, Maintenance and Inspection

Sign off on the hourly maintenance

Lubricating Front Axle and U-Jointed Shaft

Check entire tractor for loose bolts.

Check charge and clean battery terminals.

Refer to “Service—As Necessary” section and follow safety guidelines.

Lubrication Points, Maintenance and Inspection

Replacing Transmission-Hydraulic Oil Filters

Grease the sealing rings of new filters and mount them

Changing Oil in Final Drives of Front Wheel Drive Axle

Turn wheel until drain plug (A) is in lower position. Remove drain plug (A) and drain the oil into an appropriate container

Turn wheel 180°. Fill up reservoir with specified quantity of fresh oil

Check level, reinstall drain plug and tighten it to 90 N.m (66 lb-ft)

Select the lubrication points serviced

Transmission/hydraulic system oil level

Sign off on the daily maintenance

Within First 100 Hours of Operation

Check and retighten air intake hose clamps

Check and retighten hydraulic hose clamps

Lubricate the following points if operating the tractor in extremely wet or excessively muddy conditions:

Drain off engine oil and refill

Replace engine oil filters. Use John Deere filter inserts

Check air intake hoses for leaks

Replace transmission/hydraulic system filters

Change front axle final drive and differential oil
