10 Hourly / Daily Maintenance
Check Engine Oil Level
Is tractor parked on level ground?
Is transmission in park?
Is engine turned off and key removed?
Check engine oil level. Oil level should be between two marks on dipstick.
If level is low, has oil been added through oil filler hole until even with upper mark?
Drain Water and Sediment from Fuel Filter
Has fuel tank drain plug been opened to bleed accumulated moisture and sediment from the fuel tank?
Has fuel filter/water separator drain been opened to bleed accumulated moisture and sediment from filter?
500 Hourly Maintenance
Change Engine Oil and Filter
1. Operate engine to warm oil.
2. Park tractor on level ground, place transmission in park, turn off engine and remove key. Raise hood.
3. Remove engine oil drain plug (A) and drain oil into an adequate size container.
4. Remove engine oil filter (B).
5. Apply a film of oil on new oil filter gasket and install new filter. Hand-tighten plus 1/2 turn.
6. Install drain plug.
7. Add oil to engine oil filler port (C).
8. Start engine and check for leaks.
4500 Hourly / 5 Yearly Maintenance
Replace Transmission Damper
Change Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Dosing Unit Filter
Remove DEF dosing unit filter cover (A)
Remove and discard DEF dosing unit filter equalizing element (B)
Insert “Black” end of DEF dosing unit filter tool (C) into DEF dosing unit filter (D) until CLICK is felt or heard indicating DEF dosing unit filter tool is fully engaged
Pull DEF dosing unit filter tool and DEF dosing unit filter from DEF dosing unit. Discard DEF dosing unit filter and DEF dosing unit filter tool
Clean DEF dosing unit threads and mating surfaces with distilled water
Lubricate DEF filter O-rings with clean DEF. Carefully insert DEF dosing unit filter into DEF dosing unit
Install new DEF dosing unit filter equalizing element into DEF dosing unit filter
1200 Hourly Maintenance
Clean Fuel Tank Vent Filter
Raise hood and locate fuel tank vent filter (A) on left-hand side of tractor.
1. Remove and clean fuel tank vent filter with a soapy solution.
2. Blow dry with compressed air and install.
3. If fuel tank vent filter is damaged, replace.
Check Belt Tensioner
1. Remove fan belt. (See Replacing Fan Belt in this section.)
2. Put a mark (A) on swing arm of tensioner as shown.
3. Measure 21 mm (0.83 in.) from (A) and put a mark (B) on tensioner mounting base.
300 Hourly Maintenance
MFWD Axle Housing and Wheel Hub Oil Level Check
Tractor parked on level ground and engine shut off
Oil level even with bottom of the filler plug hole
Type of oil added if level was low
Thread sealant applied to threads of plug
Plug installed and tightened to specifications
