Yearly Maintenance
Drain, flush, and refill cooling system as instructed on page 104
Replace coolant filter element as instructed on page 105. When filling system with new coolant, use a Precharge Element
Replace primary and secondary air cleaner elements at least once a year. See page 96
200 Hourly Maintenance
Inspect fire extinguisher
Upload a photo of the new transmission filter element installed
Enter the transmission-hydraulic system oil level
Breather filter inside filler cap washed and dried
Batteries serviced
Tension of alternator and compressor belts checked
3-point hitch lift arms (A) and center link (B) lubricated
Recirculated air filter cleaned
Loose bolts inspected and retightened
10 Hourly / Daily Maintenance
Lubricate front axle pivot pins
Lubricate steering spindles
Lubricate tie rods
Lubricate front wheel bearings (ONLY in extremely wet conditions)
Check coolant level
Lubricate wide-swing drawbar (if equipped)
Check engine oil level
Check fuel pump sediment bowl for sediment or water
Check fuel filters for sediment or water
1200 Hourly Maintenance
Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!
Has your John Deere dealer cleaned filter in main hydraulic pump?
Have you disassembled front wheel bearings (except power front-wheel drive) and cleaned parts in a safe solvent?
Have you packed bearings with wheel bearing grease specified on page 80?
Have you reassembled and tightened nut until slight drag is felt when wheel is turned?
Have you backed nut off to insert cotter pin in first hole?
Have you removed drain plug from transmission case and drained out oil?
On QUAD-RANGE tractors, have you also removed plug from clutch housing?
Have you replaced plugs?
