Run engine to warm the oil
Park machine safely
Raise hood
Place container under oil drain located on right side of engine
Remove side panel on right side of engine
Remove drain plug
Wipe dirt from around oil filter
Turn filter counter-clockwise to remove
Put a light coat of clean engine oil on the gasket of new filter
2000 Hourly /2 Yearly Maintenance
Flush and replace factory coolant. Flush cooling system and replace coolant with John Deere COOL-GARD® engine coolant.
Did you fill cooling system with clean water and John Deere Cooling System Cleaner, or John Deere Cooling System Quick Flush or an equivalent?
Did you install and tighten radiator cap?
Did you start and run engine until it reaches operating temperature?
Did you stop the engine?
Did you open radiator petcock and remove engine block drain plug?
Did you drain cooling system immediately before rust and dirt settle?
Did you close radiator petcock and install engine block drain plug?
Sign off on the 2000 Hourly /2 Yearly Maintenance
200 Hourly Maintenance
Change engine oil and filter
Run engine to warm the oil
Park machine safely
Raise hood
Place container under oil drain located on right side of engine
Remove side panel on right side of engine
Remove drain plug
Wipe dirt from around oil filter
Turn filter counter-clockwise to remove
