3000 Hourly Inspection
Remove cap screw (A) and access cover (B)
Remove cap screws (A) and shield (B)
Visually inspect for missing retaining rings and premature wear of the cross and bearings assemblies (A)
Check shaft (B) for play in vertical, horizontal, or radial direction
If any of these conditions exists, see your John Deere dealer or qualified service provider.

Inspect and adjust (as necessary) T3 link, shims, and T6/T7 rope
As Required Maintenance
Wheel hardware tightened
Fill strainers, aspirators, nozzle bodies, and tips cleaned
Quik-Fill™ valve closed
Lock levers opened and cap removed
Quik-Fill™ valve opened and solution drained into a suitable container
Quik-Fill™ valve closed and cap replaced
End cap from end of strainer body removed and solution drained into a suitable container
Strainer emptied and rinsed with clean water
Strainer inserted into strainer body
50 Hourly Maintenance
Drive machine at 40 km/h (25 mph) or above for 15 —20 minutes.
Park machine on a flat, level surface.
Allow hubs to cool to a point that the oil can be handled safely (approximately 30 minutes).
Rotate hub until the casting arrow is pointed to the two o'clock position (A).
Remove drain plug (B) and drain oil into a suitable container.
Reinstall drain plug. Tighten to specification.
Remove the fill plug (C).
Remove fill level plug (D).
Fill hub to the oil fill level (E). (See Planetary Hub Oil in the Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolants section.)
