Replace open crankcase ventilation Final Tier 4/Stage IV machines only

Replace Open Crankcase Ventilation Filter (Final Tier 4/Stage V 6.8 L Engine)

Pull hood release (A) and raise hood.

Remove open crankcase ventilation filter from inside the filter housing (B).

To install new filter, align tabs on the new filter with tabs on inside of the filter housing.

Replace Open Crankcase Ventilation Filter (Final Tier 4/Stage V 9.0 L Engine)

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Equalizing element (A) removed and discarded

Check inside of the filter for color code

Filter tool (A) inserted into the filter (B) until a click is felt or heard

Dosing unit threads and mating surfaces cleaned with distilled water

New filter O-rings lubricated with clean engine oil

Filter and new equalizing element installed

Fill strainers, aspirators, nozzle bodies, and tips cleaned

Quik-Fill™ valve closed and drained

Strainer body end cap removed and drained

Strainer cleaned and reinserted

End cap installed and checked for leaks

Aspirators, nozzle bodies, and tips cleaned

Screens and cooling package cleaned

Check torque on fixed tread and adjust hardware

Change engine oil and filter (6.8 L Engine)

Change engine oil and filter (9.0L Engine)

Change planetary hub oil- R4038 and R4044

Inspect and adjust (as necessary) T3 link, shims, and T6/T7 rope
