Open engine cover and remove right engine side panel

Disconnect negative (-) cable (1) from battery

Pull back red positive terminal cover (2) and disconnect positive (+) cable

Clean battery with a damp cloth or rag. Keep dirt out of battery cells

Remove battery: Loosen J-bolts on battery hold down bracket and lift battery from battery compartment

Warning: Disconnect negative (-) battery cable when you work on or near alternator or regulator.

Warning: DO NOT TRY TO POLARIZE ALTERNATOR OR REGULATOR.

Alternator wires correctly connected?

Warning: Do not ground alternator output terminal.

Warning: Do not disconnect or connect any alternator or regulator wires while batteries are connected or while alternator is operating.

Fuses Replacement

Fuses are located in operator's station on the right side.

Remove fuse panel cover (1)

Check mark

Pull off protective cap

Check mark

Pull fuse out of socket

Check mark

Check metal clip in fuse window. Discard fuse if clip is broken.

Check mark

Push new fuse into proper socket. Be sure new fuse is the same amperage as removed fuse.

Sign off on the fuse replacement

Nuts and washers removed from mounting studs on both sides of outer front edge of operator's station

Operator's station raised all the way up so that gas spring cylinder locks are in place

Red cylinder lock pulled forward to ensure operator's station is in locked position

Red cylinder lock pushed rearward to unlocked position to lower operator's station

Operator's station pulled down until seated on mounting studs

Washers and nuts installed and tightened on mounting studs

Remove access cover and drain engine oil

Install hose plug after oil is drained

Clean dirt or debris from around engine oil filter

Remove oil filter and drain excess oil

Apply clean engine oil on seal of new filter and install filter
