500 Hourly Maintenance
Lubricate upper and lower driveline sliding joints
Check air intake hoses and charge air cooler tube couplings
Check battery water level and terminals
Drain and refill engine oil and replace filter
Replace primary fuel filter
Replace final fuel filter
Replace in-line fuel strainer
Replace hydraulic reservoir breather filter
Check ride control accumulator-if equipped
4000 Hourly Maintenance
Drain and refill hydraulic system oil
Lower boom and bucket to ground
Turn key switch to key switch-off position (1)
Turn key switch clockwise to key switch-start/on position (3) (Do not start engine)
Press return-to-carry (RTC) switch (4) to OFF setting (indicator light off)
Press and hold pilot enable/boom down switch (5) while holding the boom control lever in the float position (fully forward) for 5 seconds
While still holding pilot enable/boom down switch, cycle each hydraulic control lever to relieve pressure
Turn key switch to key switch-off position (1)
Remove hydraulic reservoir filler cap (6)
As required Maintenance
Inspect tires and check pressure
Check wheel bolt torque
Inspect engine air cleaner elements
Inspect air conditioner compressor and alternator belt
Clean cooler cores
Check transmission oil level
Add coolant extender as indicated by COOL-GARD™ II test strips
Check windshield washer fluid level
Drain water from primary fuel filter
1000 Hourly Maintenance
Remove and clean engine crankcase vent tube
Air cleaner dust unloader valve replaced?
Replace engine air cleaner elements
Axle oil filters replaced?
Replace axle oil filters
Frame hinge pivots lubricated?
Drain and refill park brake oil
Coolant checked?
Driveline damper checked?
250 Hourly Maintenance
Drain and refill engine oil and replace filter
Run engine to warm oil. Park machine on a level surface and stop engine.
Place a container under oil drain hose (1) located on front right side of fuel tank.
Open drain valve (2) and drain oil into container. Dispose of waste oil properly. Close drain valve.
Turn filter (3) counterclockwise and remove from base. Clean mounting surface on base.
Fill new filter with oil and apply thin film of oil to gasket.
Install new filter. Turn filter clockwise by hand until gasket touches mounting surface. Tighten filter 1/2-1 turn more using filter wrench.
Remove cap from fill port (4) and fill engine with oil. See Diesel Engine Oil. (Section 3-1.) Install filler cap.
Start engine and run at slow idle.
