PTO Driveline and Rear Safety Deflector Replacement
Apply multipurpose grease on the input shaft of gear case
Align splines by rotating mower driveline
Pull locking collar (A) and simultaneously push driveline onto the input shaft of gear case until locking device engages
Pull back on shield (B) to make sure that driveline is locked
Attach PTO driveline shield chain (C) to a fixed point on mower
Install rubber if equipped safety (A) deflector to the inside of the mower mainframe using provided hardware
Tighten all mounting hardware after deflector installation
Sign off on the PTO Driveline and Rear Safety Deflector Replacement
Mower to Tractor with Quick Coupler Hitch Maintenance
Place draft control lever fully forward to the position marked "OFF" (A) for no draft sensing.
Pull up on quick coupler latch handles (B).
Lower hitch by pulling hitch control lever (C) until quick coupler hooks are lower than mower hitch pins.
Back up the tractor to the mower hitch.
Raise hitch high enough to engage mower hitch pins in hooks.
Engage tractor park brake and/or place transmission in "Park".
Shut off engine and remove ignition key.
Push quick coupler latch handles (B) down to lock mower to quick coupler hitch.
Attach PTO driveline (See procedures in this section).
Knives Inspection
Warning: Ensure the mower is turned off and unplugged before starting the inspection
Knives are undamaged
Knives are not worn
Measure the knife hole for the securing ring
Knife hole for the securing ring is not worn by more than 3.2 mm
Sign off on the knives inspection
Knives Replacement
Remove mounting bolt (A)
Take knife out of ring (D)
Inspect the mounting hardware
Install new knives
Replace worn or damaged fasteners
Have the lock nuts of mounting clip bolt been removed five times?
DO NOT reuse lock nuts of mounting clip bolt if they have been removed five times.
Sign off on the knives replacement
Cutting Height Maintenance
Warning: Ensure the mower is turned off before starting the procedure
Is the mower turned off?
The mower has a cutting height range 13-127 mm (0.5 to 5 in). The desired cutting height of the knives is set by pivoting the gauge roller (A). Pivoting the roller upward lowers the knives and pivoting the roller downward raises the knives.
Remove the top bolt (B) from each end of the roller mounting
Loosen the lower bolt (C) in each end
Position the roller for desired cutting height according to chart
Sign off on the cutting height maintenance
