Clean/Replace Recirculating Filter

Clean/Replace Cab Fresh Air Filter

Fill Windshield Washer Reservoir

Clean Moisture Sensor (If Equipped)

Clean Moisture Sensor Bypass Auger

1. Shut off engine, set park brake, and remove key.

2. Remove pins (A) and end cap (B).

3. Remove auger (C) from the moisture sensor bypass.

Change Engine Oil and Filter (Tier 2/Stage II)

Style A: Engine Crankcase Top Load Oil Filter: Remove cap (A) and remove filter. Replace filter and install cap. Tighten to specification.

Style B: Engine Crankcase Oil Filter: Remove and replace oil filter (B).

Style A: Engine Crankcase Top Load Oil Filter Remove dipstick (D) to fill and check oil level after filling.

Style B: Engine Crankcase Oil Filter: Remove cap (E) to fill and check oil with dipstick (F) after filling.

Change Engine Oil and Filter (Final Tier 4/Stage V)

Style A: Engine Crankcase Top Load Oil Filter: Remove cap (A) and remove filter. Replace filter and install cap. Tighten to specification.

Style B: Engine Crankcase Oil Filter: Remove and replace oil filter (B).

Main Engine Gear Case Oil- Drain oil at plugs (A)

S760 and S770 ProDrive™ Machines: Remove and replace filter (B). Coat seal on the new filter with oil. Hand tighten, then tighten 1/2 turn more

ProDrive™ Machines: Transmission Oil- Drain oil at plug (C)

ProDrive™/Main Engine Gear Case Lube Filter - Remove and replace filter (D). Coat seal on the filter with oil. Hand tighten, then tighten 1/2 turn more

Fill Main Engine Gear Case until oil is at the bottom line on dipstick (E)

Install dipstick and run engine for 1 minute minimum

Shut OFF engine and let machine sit for 5 minutes allowing air to settle from oil

Remove dipstick and check oil level. Add oil until oil level is at the top line on dipstick

Repeat procedures until oil level remains at the top line on dipstick

Grease Two-Speed Four-Wheel Drive Motor Pivots

Grease Two-Wheel Drive Heavy-Duty and Extra Heavy-Duty Axle Spindle Bearings/Pivot Pins (Normal Conditions)

Grease Final Drive Outer Bearings (Normal Conditions)

Grease Variable Speed Feeder House Reverser Drive Gear Case (S760 and S770 Machines) (Normal Conditions)

Check Feeder House Reverser Gear Case Oil

Grease Variable Speed Feeder House Upper Sheaves (S760 and S770 Machines)

Check/Clean Lateral Tilt Feeder House

Cycle Separator Variable Speed Driven/Driver Sheaves

Grease Separator Variable Speed Driven/Driver Sheaves (S770 Optional, S780, S785 and S790 Machines)

Replace Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Dosing Unit Filter (Final Tier 4/Stage V S780, S785, and S790 Machines)

Cleared all debris from area around the DEF dosing unit

Removed and discarded the equalizing element (B)

Inserted “Black” end of the filter tool (C) into the DEF dosing unit filter (D) until a CLICK is felt or heard

Pulled filter tool and DEF dosing unit filter from the DEF dosing unit. Discarded DEF dosing unit filter and filter tool

Cleaned DEF dosing unit threads and mating surfaces with distilled water

Lubricated DEF filter O-rings with clean DEF. Carefully inserted DEF dosing unit filter into the DEF dosing unit

Installed new DEF dosing unit filter equalizing element into the DEF dosing unit filter
