Warning: Always use the correct tool for loosening the filter element.

Filter element loosened with the correct tool?

Element removed from the housing?

Old element placed in a sealed bag and disposed of safely?

Mating face of the housing cleaned?

New Ingersoll Rand replacement element removed from its protective package?

Small amount of lubricant applied to the element seal?

New element screwed down until the seal makes contact with the housing, then hand tightened a further half turn?

Compressor started and checked for leaks?

Operate the safety valve manually to verify that the valve mechanism is functioning correctly and that a small amount of air is released.

Check all hoses for signs of deterioration, cracks, hardening etc.

Replace all hoses every 4 years.

Sign off on the air compressor check

NOTE: On some sea water cooled models the oil cooler and after cooler are fitted with sacrificial zinc anodes (pencils) that are located in the end bonnets of the coolers. These sacrificial zinc anodes should be checked after the first 50 hours of operation to determine if corrosive conditions exist. If satisfactory this interval may be extended to 500 hours.

Effects of corrosion or erosion are specifically excluded from warranty considerations.

Is the sacrificial zinc anode 50% corroded?

Are the waters coastal/harbour waters?

Note any corrosive chemicals found in the water

Sign off on the zinc anode check

Is the coolant level visible in the sight glass while the machine is running on load?

Is the coolant level between the middle and the top of the green section of the sight glass tube?

Did you run the compressor for a minimum of 40 seconds before stopping?

Did you add coolant until the level is up to the mid-point of the sight glass?

Did you perform a visual check of the machine for any leaks, dust build up or unusual noise/vibration?

Sign off on the daily coolant level check
