Fasteners and Setscrews Inspection

Check all fasteners and setscrews for tightness

Does the propeller rotate freely without rubbing on the fan panel venturi?

Is the rotation direction of the propeller correct when the unit is momentarily turned on?

Rotation Direction Verification

Does the propeller blade cup and throw the air correctly when rotating?

Is the rotation in the same direction as the rotation decal affixed to the unit?

Disconnect, lock, and tag power source before servicing

Measure the belt span in inches

Calculate the required belt deflection

Measure the actual belt deflection using moderate thumb pressure at midpoint of the drive

Loosen four fasteners on the motor plate

Slide the motor plate away from the fan shaft to adjust tension

Calculate required belt deflection

Is the belt deflection within the required range?

Loosen fasteners on motor plate

Clean the exterior surface of the motor

Access the filters through the bolted access panel

Clean the 2 inch (51 mm) washable aluminum filters

Disconnect, lock, and tag power source before servicing

Check motor type for lubrication requirements

Lubrication for motors with oil holes

Refer to manufacturer's instructions for oiling

Use high grade SAE 20 machine oil

Lubrication for motors with grease fittings

Refer to manufacturer's instructions for greasing
