Inspect fans for the following issues

Record inspection and maintenance performed

Was the source of moisture or dirt accumulation located and eliminated?

Rotate the wheel by hand ten to fifteen revolutions to distribute lubricant in motor

Is there a need for touch-up or repainting due to paint deterioration?

Are machined parts coated with rust preventive in good condition?

Remove original rust preventive coating with petroleum solvent

Ensure all necessary tools are available

Verify the orientation of the hub (Standard or Reverse Mounting)

Is there a setscrew holding the bushing and shaft key in place?

Loosen and remove the socket head cap screws fastening the bushing to the hub

Select the mounting type for socket head cap screws installation

Install the socket head cap screws into the visibly threaded holes

Inspect the grease trap for any visible damage or leaks

Measure the amount of grease collected in the trap

Is the grease level within acceptable limits?

Check the condition of the grease absorber

Is the grease absorber functioning properly?

Does the grease trap require cleaning?

Disconnect and secure to the 'off' position all electrical power to the fan.

Ensure the unit is made non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect.

Ensure power is turned off to the fan.

Remove hood to gain access to motor compartment by pushing in two adjacent snap buttons and lifting.

Disconnect motor wiring and controls wiring (if present).

Remove the screws securing the powerpack in place.

Carefully lift out the powerpack while keeping the powerpack assembly centered to the housing.

Disconnect all electrical power to the fan and secure to the 'off' position

Remove fuses and lock off the disconnect

Is the belt in good condition and properly tensioned?
