Sprayer Cleaning

1. Perform Pressure Relief Procedure, page 18.

2. Remove Spray Tip Guard and Spray Tip. For additional information, see separate Spray Gun manual.

Clean Drain Tube

Check mark

3. Remove Suction Tube and Drain Tube from paint; wipe excess paint off outside of Suction Tube.

4. Place Suction Tube in appropriate flushing fluid. Place Drain Tube in waste pail.

Check mark

5. To flush Drain Tube and pump turn Prime/Spray Valve down to PRIME position.

Check mark

6. Turn pressure control to Prime/Slow and turn ON/OFF switch to ON position to start the motor. Flushing fluid will flow up the Suction Tube and out the Drain Tube into the waste pail. Allow flushing fluid to flow out of Drain Tube for 5 seconds.

7. Turn Pressure Control Knob to OFF setting (all the way counterclockwise).

Spray Tip Clog Clearing

Warning: Ensure the Spray Tip is fully seated and pushed all the way into the Spray Tip Guard.

Engage Trigger Lock

Rotate Spray Tip to UNCLOG position

Disengage Trigger Lock

Check mark

Trigger Spray Gun at waste area to clear clog

Check mark

Note: If Spray Tip is difficult to rotate when turning to the UNCLOG position, perform Pressure Relief Procedure, then turn Prime/Spray Valve horizontal to SPRAY position and repeat step 1.

Rotate Spray Tip back to SPRAY position

Check mark

Disengage Trigger Lock and continue spraying

Sprayer Throat Packing Adjustment

Activity: Throat packing adjustment

Interval: As necessary based on usage

Check mark

Pump packing begins to leak after extended use

Check mark

If leakage is observed, tighten packing nut down until leakage stops or lessens.

Enter the number of gallons of operation before a repacking is required

Packing nut tightened without 0-ring removal?

Check mark

Sign off on the sprayer throat packing adjustment

Battery Replacement

Turn sprayer OFF and disconnect power

Remove the control box cover

Check mark

Remove black battery cover with a philips screwdriver

Check mark

Slide battery out of the holder, to the left

Check mark

Replace battery with a new CR2032 battery

Place the battery cover back on the unit

Check mark

Hook the clip under the control board. NOTE: The cover should not move

Check mark

Tighten the screw back into place on the battery cover

Check mark

Close and screw the control box cover back on the unit

Inspect motor shield vents for blockage
