100 Hourly Lubrication
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Genie specifications require that this procedure be performed every 100 hours.
Located the grease fitting on the tank side turntable cover bulkhead?
Amount of grease pumped into the turntable rotation bearing
Rotated the turntable in increments of 4 to 5 inches / 10 to 13 cm at a time and repeated this step until the entire bearing has been greased?
Located the 2 grease fittings on top of the worm drive housing?
Amount of grease pumped into the gear
Grease seen coming out of the side of the gear housing?
Greased each tooth on the outside of the turntable rotation bearing?
1 Daily Inspection
Inspect the Manuals and Decals
Operator's and safety manuals are present and complete in the storage container on the platform
Pages of each manual are legible and in good condition
All decals on the machine are legible and undamaged
Perform Pre-operation Inspection
Pre-operation inspection completed
Perform Function Tests
Function tests completed
Sign off on the daily inspection
Alarm Package (if equipped) Testing
Note: Genie specifications require that this procedure be performed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever comes first.
Turn the key switch to ground controls and pull out the red Emergency Stop buttons to the on position at both ground and platform controls. The flashing beacon should be on and flashing.
Hold the function enable toggle switch to either side, then move the primary boom toggle switch to the down position, hold for a moment then release it.
Hold the function enable toggle switch to either side, then move the secondary boom toggle switch to the down position, hold for a moment then release it.
Hold the function enable toggle switch to either side, then move the jib boom toggle switch to the down position, hold for a moment then release it. The descent alarm should sound when each control toggle switch is held down.
Turn the key switch to platform controls. The flashing beacon should be on and flashing.
Press down the foot switch.
Move the primary boom toggle switch to the down position, hold for a moment then release it.
Move the secondary boom toggle switch to the down position, hold for a moment then release it.
Batteries Check
Warning: This procedure requires protective clothing and eye wear.
Disconnect each battery pack from the machine.
Release the battery pack latches and rotate each battery pack out and away from the chassis.
Remove the cover from each battery box.
Battery cable connections are free of corrosion.
Battery retainers and cable connections are tight.
Fully charge the batteries.
Allow the batteries to rest 24 hours before continuing this procedure to allow the battery cells to equalize.
Remove the battery vent caps and check the specific gravity of each battery cell with a hydrometer.
Drive Brakes Testing
Warning: Collision hazard. Be sure that the machine is not in free-wheel or partial free-wheel configuration.
Test area is firm, level and free of obstructions
Upload a photo of the marked test line on the ground
Boom is in the stowed position
Key switch is turned to platform controls
Machine reached top drive speed before reaching the test line
Distance between the test line and your machine reference point
Brakes able to hold the machine on any slope it is able to climb
Sign off on the brake test
