4000 Hourly Compressor Lubricant Replacement
Lubricant Change Procedure
Change the compressor lubricant. Under adverse conditions, change more frequently.
Flush system if required.
Upgrading to a Longer Life Lubricant
Thoroughly drain system: Drain oil from air end and cooler while hot.
Break low point connections and drain oil from pipe runs.
Dump oil from the filter and reinstall used filter.
Fill the system with a 50 percent charge of the new lubricant.
Start the machine and observe.

Select the method used to drain the oil system
Was the oil drained when hot to prevent varnish deposits?
Inspect and Flush the System
Is the drained oil and/or oil filter element contaminated with dirt?
Flush the entire system: reservoir, oil cooler, mixing valve, and lines if contamination is present.
Inspect the oil separator elements for dirt accumulation and replace if necessary.
Contact the factory for recommendations if varnish deposits exist.

Inspection and Cleaning
Check for dirt accumulation on the following components

Clean the exterior fin surfaces of the cores by blowing compressed air with a nonflammable safety solvent in the opposite direction of the cooling fan air flow
50 Hourly Air Filter Cleaning
Preparation
Ensure the compressor is turned off and cooled down before starting the procedure.
Gather necessary tools and materials, including a spare filter element and gasket.
Filter Element Removal and Inspection
Remove the wingnut and pull out the filter element.
Visually inspect the filter element for cleanliness.
Filter Element Cleaning
Does the filter element require cleaning?
Soak the filter element in warm water with a mild nonsudsing detergent for about 15 minutes.
