Acknowledge understanding of the warning and safety instructions

Ensure electrical supply to the equipment is disconnected

Label all wires prior to disconnection

Follow lockout/tagout procedures

Ensure area is free of combustible materials and other dangers

Ensure boiler is off and cooled, with proper lockout - tagout per local codes prior to service and maintenance.

Use caution when using any cleaning solutions.

Do not allow dust or dirt to accumulate around the boiler.

Ignition Electrode Assembly Removal and Replacement

Remove ignition electrode assembly (ignitor) and check that the insulators are clean.

Replace with a new ignitor when performing annual maintenance.

Verify gap between electrodes is greater than 0.100” (2.54 mm) and less than 0.125” (3.175 mm) using calibrated calipers.

Ensure electrical supply to the equipment is disconnected.

Label all wires prior to disconnection.

Do not try to light the appliance.

Remove power and turn off gas supply. Allow the boiler to cool.

With the door open, place a ladder in front of the unit.

Remove wires from ignition assembly.
