Inspect seals for any visible damage

Sump Area Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect sump area for debris or blockages

Clean the sump area if necessary

Inspect barrier structure for any visible damage

Lift the barrier from the back side (side away from the opening)

Ensure the barrier reaches approximately 30 degrees from horizontal

Keep hands clear of seal area when raising barrier manually or liquid testing

Lower the barrier back to its closed position by pushing it down from outside the door opening

Keep hands away from top of barrier during lowering to avoid pinching

Was the sump cleaned of dirt and debris?

Ensure the barrier sump is cleaned of construction debris.

Enter the amount of water used to fill the sump (in gallons).

Did the barrier rise to approximately 30 degrees from the horizontal?

Did the mechanical assist take over and raise the barrier to vertical?

Was the barrier clear of personnel during the test?

Did the barrier reach the complete vertical (closed) position before the sump was completely filled?
