Replace the liquid end diaphragm

Unscrew the diaphragm rupture indicator using an AF 14 open-ended spanner

Clean the diaphragm rupture indicator with suitable liquid, preferably water

Test the diaphragm rupture indicator by immersing the tapered section in water

Does the continuous display indicate a diaphragm rupture?

Thoroughly dry the diaphragm rupture indicator

Ensure all spare parts are available

Install the new vPTFE diaphragm

Read the safety information and specifications in the 'Storage, Transport and Unpacking' chapter.

Disconnect the pump from the mains power supply.

Ensure the system is at atmospheric pressure before commencing work on hydraulic parts.

Inspection of Hydraulic Components

Check that the following components are fixed firmly and fitted tightly

Check that the entire liquid end is leak-tight, particularly around the leakage hole.

Is the flow correct after pressing [Priming]?

Read the safety information and specifications in the 'Storage, Transport and Unpacking' chapter prior to shipping the pump.

Disconnect the pump from the mains power supply and ensure that it cannot be switched on again by unauthorised persons.

Ensure that the system is at atmospheric pressure before commencing any work on hydraulic parts of the system.

Verify the use of original spare parts only.

Use the correct spare parts kits. Refer to the exploded views and ordering information in the appendix if in doubt.

Enter the order no. (part number) of the diaphragm or spare parts kit

Take protective measures, if necessary

Note the material safety data sheet for the feed chemical

Prevent the escape of feed chemical

Ensure that the system is at atmospheric pressure

Empty the liquid end by turning it upside down and allowing the feed chemical to run out

Flush out with a suitable medium
