Ensure that sufficient airflow as marked on the unit rating plate is passing through the heater.

Check for signs of potential problems

Inspect open coil elements for bright red glowing areas when viewed in the dark with the unit operating.

Measure the static pressure drop across the DX coil

Does the static pressure drop match the Unit Function specification?

Adjust bypass dampers to match the specified static pressure drop

Describe any adjustments made to the bypass dampers

Is the bearing rotating slowly during lubrication?

Is a lithium base lubricant being used?

Enter the shaft diameter in inches or millimeters

Select the grease quantity based on shaft diameter

Is the bearing temperature under 120°F (50°C)?

Is the re-greasing interval set to 2 ½ years?

Refer to motor manufacturer for lubrication recommendations

Remove grease drain plugs and operate motor for 15 minutes before replacing plugs

Ensure not to over grease the motor

Select the motor lubrication interval based on service hours per day

Note any severe conditions affecting lubrication frequency
