Verify oil viscosity and operating temperature

Is the static oil level at the center of the lower-most roller?

Perform complete lubrication change

Refer to motor manufacturer for lubrication recommendations

Remove grease drain plugs and operate motor for 15 minutes before replacing plugs

Ensure not to over grease the motor

Recommended Motor Lubrication Intervals for motors up to 7.5 HP (5.6 kW)

Check if motors run in severe conditions and grease as specified by the manufacturer

Check if the fan has permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings

Ensure bearings are factory packed 30 to 50% full

Grease bearings that require lubrication while rotating slowly

Use lithium base lubricant only

Check for extended lubrication lines

Verify tubing is not factory filled

Select shaft diameter for grease quantity

Is the bearing rotating slowly during lubrication?

Is a lithium base lubricant being used?

Is the grease quantity appropriate for the shaft diameter?

Select the shaft diameter and corresponding grease quantity

Are extended lubrication lines provided?

Refer to the fan and/or bearing manufacturers’ literature for additional information.

Verify the position of the slide damper

Inspect the slide damper for any obstructions or damage

Lubricate the slide damper mechanism if necessary

Is the slide damper operating smoothly?
