Check set screws for looseness on the shaft

Tighten set screws where required

Record any issues found during the check

Enter torque value for Dodge SC 203-215 series (3/4” shaft)

Enter torque value for Dodge SC 203-215 series (1”, 1 3/16”, 1 7/16” shaft)

Enter torque value for Dodge SC 203-215 series (1 11/16” through 2 15/16” shaft)

Refer to bearing manufacturers’ literature for other types of bearings

Check set screws for looseness on the shaft

Tighten set screws where required

Record any observations or issues noted during the check

Refer to Table I for Bearing Setscrew Torques

Refer to motor manufacturer for lubrication recommendations

Remove grease drain plugs and operate motor for 15 minutes before replacing plugs

Ensure not to over grease the motor

Note any severe conditions affecting motor operation

Select motor lubrication interval based on service hours per day

Disconnect and lock out power before servicing

Do not bypass any interlock or safety switches

Follow cleaning instructions to reduce risk of mold or bacterial growth

If mold or biological growth is present, describe the cause and corrective actions taken

Properly remove and dispose of contamination

Properly clean and sanitize affected area using approved sanitizers

Label all wires prior to removal when servicing controls or critical components

Select the shaft diameter and speed (RPM) for lubrication schedule

Is it safe to re-lubricate while running?

Re-lubricate while running until some purging occurs at seals, if safe

Adjust lubrication frequency based on condition of purged grease

Consider hours of operation, temperature, and surrounding conditions

Select the grease used for lubrication

Lubricate bearings prior to extended shutdown or storage
