1 Monthly Rooftop System Maintenance
Check cabinet air filters and replace if dirty
After heavy snowfall verify that combustion air intakes are not blocked by snow
Periodically check during periods of snow accumulation as drifting may also lead to combustion air intake blockage
Open a door on each section and verify that no moisture or debris is accumulating in the unit monthly during preparation for storage

Compressor Ground Fault Interrupter Service
Warning: This service requires trained personnel with PPE!
Is the Rebel 003–015 unit equipped with a ground fault interrupter?
Is the current sensing donut on the power wires to the compressor(s) functional?
Is the PCB functional?
Is the device monitoring the balance between the three phase power and the neutral conductor?
Note: The device is not intended to provide overcurrent or short circuit protection to the equipment.
Is the device opening the 120V controls circuit in a fault condition?
Is there an open condition on the ground fault interrupter?
Report any issues found during the service
1 Yearly Rooftop System Maintenance
Check vent terminal screens for blockages and accumulation
Heater and the Venting System shall be inspected once a year by a qualified service agency.
Check all valves, piping and connections of Gas Train for leakage with a rich soap solution or UL 913 combustible gas leak detector. Any bubbling is considered a leak and must be eliminated.
Inspect and clean flame rod, ignition electrode, and burner manifold
Remove any debris that may have accumulated in the drain pain and drain

Rooftop System Charge Maintenance
Re-charge the unit
The Rebel unit has many configurable options that can affect the refrigerant charge. Actual unit charge is given on the unit's data plate found on the inside of the control panel
The Rebel unit uses electronic expansion valves that maintain peak efficiency. Liquid sub-cooling and suction super heat float and should not be used as an indication that charge needs to be added or removed from the system
If a leak is suspected, the full charge should be removed and weighed. Weight should be compared against the unit nameplate data. Unit should be recharged with the amount given on the unit nameplate
POE and PVE oil is hygroscopic and does absorb moisture when exposed to atmosphere. Steps should be taken to minimize exposure time to atmosphere during any maintenance where the sealed system is to be opened
Rebel 003-015 refrigerant systems use only Polyvinylether (PVE) oil. Rebel 016-028 refrigerant systems use only Polyester (POE) oil
NOTICE: Do not use POE oil in DPS 003-015 refrigerant systems and do not use PVE oil in DPS 016-028 refrigerant systems
The entire system must be evacuated using a suitable vacuum pump
The quality of vacuum is measured using a suitable micron gauge that has been calibrated
3 Monthly Coated Coil Cleaning
Clean Option E Coated Coils Surfaces
Quarterly cleaning is essential to extend the life of an Option E Coated Coil and is required to maintain warranty coverage
Coil cleaning shall be part of the unit's regularly scheduled maintenance procedures
Failure to clean an Option E Coated Coil will void the warranty and may result in reduced efficiency and durability in the environment
For routine quarterly cleaning, first clean the coil with the below approved coil cleaner
Coil cleaned with approved cleaner?
After cleaning the coils with the approved cleaning agent, use the approved chloride remover (under the Recommended Chloride Remover section) to remove soluble salts and revitalize the unit
