Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the palmrest cover with touch pad

Remove two screws securing modem

Pull the modem off the connector on the system board

Disconnect the modem cable from the modem

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the following components

Remove the screw from the diskette drive and lift up the diskette drive

Disconnect the diskette drive data cable from the system board

Note any issues encountered during removal

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the following components

Disconnect the backlight cable from the system board

Disconnect the flex data cable from the LVDS connector on the system board

Close the display panel assembly

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the palmrest cover with touch pad

Gently lift and turn the keyboard over allowing it to rest on top of the palmrest cover with touchpad slot opening

Remove screws from the heatspreader

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Close the computer and turn the computer upside down

Remove the screw from the memory module door

Slide the memory module door to the right

Pull side levers to release the memory module

Unplug the memory module from the system board
