Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the palmrest cover with touch pad

Remove two screws securing modem

Pull the modem off the connector on the system board

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the palmrest cover with touch pad

Remove two screws from the hard drive mounting bracket

Lift out the hard drive with drive mounting bracket attached

Disconnect the hard drive data cable from the hard drive

Remove the hard drive from the chassis

Align the notch on the processor with the notch on the processor chassis slot

Insert the processor into the slot on the system board

Lock the processor using a small blade screwdriver

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the palmrest cover with touch pad

Gently lift and turn the keyboard over, allowing it to rest on top of the palmrest cover with touchpad slot opening

Remove two screws from the heatspreader

Lift the heatspreader out of the chassis

Have all parts been removed successfully?

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the following components

Remove the memory module from the system board

Disconnect the speaker assembly cables

Remove five standoffs from the system board

Remove two screws from the DVD or CD Drive mounting rails and remove the mounting rails from the system board
