2 Yearly Engine Replacement
NOTE: The following Routine Maintenance schedule is based on an engine usage rate not exceeding 2 hours per month. For UL/FM engine models, also refer to NFPA25

IMPORTANT!
• Set main pump controller to “OFF” while servicing engine. Before turning the main pump controller to the "OFF" position, check with the maintenance and security supervisors to verify that all the departments concerned will be alerted of the temporary interruption of their fire protection equipment for normal maintenance or testing
• Also, alert the local fire department in the event that the main pump controller is connected by silent alarm to headquarters
Engine Spped Adjustment
Start the engine by following the “To Start Engine” Procedure in this manual
Engine warmed up?
Loosen the jam nut(s) (Figure #38)
Enter the RPM reading from the instrument panel
Rotate the long adjustor clockwise to lower the RPM and counter clockwise to raise the RPM’s until desired speed is obtained. Ref. Figure #38
Desired speed obtained?
Holding secure the long adjustor with a wrench tighten the jam nut
Stop engine by following “To Stop Engine” Procedure in this manual
Sign off on the engine speed adjustment
6 Monthly Engine Maintenance
NOTE: The following Routine Maintenance schedule is based on an engine usage rate not exceeding 2 hours per month. For UL/FM engine models, also refer to NFPA25
Maintenance Tasks
IMPORTANT!
Set main pump controller to “OFF” while servicing engine. Before turning the main pump controller to the OFF" position
Also, alert the local fire department in the event that the main pump controller is connected by silent alarm to headquarters
When servicing is complete, return main pump controller selector to Automatic" position and the mode selector on the engine to “Automatic” position. Advise the appropriate personnel the engine has been returned to the “Automatic”"
Sign off on the engine maintenance
1 Yearly Engine Oil Change
Warning: Ensure the engine is warm before starting the procedure
Engine operated until warm
Sump drain plug removed and lubricating oil drained
Tighten the drain plug to 34 Nm (25lbf-ft) / 3.5 kgf-m
Sump filled to the ‘FULL” mark on the dipstick with new and clean lubricating oil of an approved grade
Unit returned back into service by returning the AEC selector to “automatic” position and the manual operating lever to manual stop position
Used oil disposed properly
