WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Electricity remains in the capacitors even when the power is off. Ensure the capacitors are fully discharged before troubleshooting.
Outdoor unit turned off and power supply disconnected
Electrolytic capacitors fully discharged and all energy has been discharged
Outdoor PCB or IPM board dissembled
Measure the resistance valve between P and U(V,W,N)
Measure the resistance valve between U(V,W) and N
Sign off on the IPM Continuity Check
Compressor Check
Disconnect the compressor power cord from the outdoor PCB
Measure the resistance valve of each winding using a multi-meter
Check the resistance valve of each winding in Tables 21 - 21
Main Parts Check
Temperature sensor checking
Disconnect the temperature sensor from PCB
Measure the resistance value with a tester
Temperature sensors
Measure the resistance value of each winding by using the multi-meter
Temperature Sensor Check
WARNING: Be sure to turn off all power supplies or disconnect all wires to avoid shock. Operate after the compressor and coil have returned to a normal temperature in case of injury.

Check the corresponding temperature sensor’s resistance value table
Sign off on the temperature sensor check
