Perform sight and function check

Is there any suspected damage or malfunction?

Take the bed out of service and disconnect from power if damage or malfunction is suspected

Perform tests according to dIN EN 62353

Electrical and Mechanical Components Testing

Test all electrical and mechanical components monthly

Sticker and Type Plate Inspection

Check the stickers and type plates for the following

Transformer Unit / Power Adapter Inspection

Motor Housing and Lifting Rods Inspection

Inspect the motor housing and lifting rods for the following

Check that the lock washer is properly in place

Inspection of Stickers and Type Plates

Check presence and legibility of stickers and type plates

Inspection of Load and Weight Indicators

Check presence and legibility of safe working load and patient weight indicators

Inspection of Structural Components

Check for damage and deformation

Inspect welded seams for split welded seams

Unplug the power cable from the wall socket and store it in a plastic bag to avoid contact with water or cleaning solutions.

Ensure all electrical components are in good condition

Is there any visible damage to the electrical components?

If moisture is suspected in electrical components, unplug the power and mark the bed as 'defective'.

Remove the bed sheets and send them to the laundry.

Clean all surfaces including slatted boards and reclining surface with a mild, environmentally safe cleaning solution.

Clean the hand switch with a mild cleaning solution.
