Tumble Dryer Maintenance
Cleaning the Dryer
Wipe the housing and fascia with a soft cloth and soapy water
Wipe the drum, door seal, and inside of the door with a damp cloth only
Caution
Do not spray with water jets
Do not use scouring agents, all-purpose cleaners, or steam cleaners
Changing the Light Bulb
Set the program selector to “Off”
Turn off the circuit breaker
1 Monthly Cleaning
Cleaning the Moisture Sensor
Why: A fine layer of transparent buildup deposits on the sensors.
Wipe the sensors (located next to the lint filter) with a cloth and a little white vinegar.
Note: Use white vinegar only.
Perform this cleaning once a month.
Cleaning the Bearing Shield
Why: Fluff from the drying process collects in the bearing shield.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the fluff.
Perform this cleaning at least once a month.
1 Yearly Cleaning
Cleaning the Exhaust Duct
Turn off the circuit breaker
Pull out the power supply plug
Disconnect the duct from the dryer
Vacuum the duct and reconnect it
Cleaning the MISTCARE™ Nozzle
Inspect the nozzle outlet for blockage
Wipe the outside of the nozzle with a cloth moistened with vinegar
