Initial System Vacuum Check
6.2 Evacuation
Switch on the oil heater
Open all shut-off valves and solenoid valves
Use a vacuum pump to evacuate the entire system, including the compressor, on the suction side and the high pressure side
Measure the standing vacuum achieved
Is the standing vacuum lower than 1.5 mbar?
Repeat the evacuation operation if necessary
Ensure the compressor is not started while in a vacuum
Ensure no voltage is applied to the compressor, not even for testing
Initial Accessory Maintenance
4.7 Mounting included accessory
Have the oil pan ready.
Fit the accessories best before commissioning.
Connection positions for the included accessory, see chapter Connections, page 38, above.
Tightening torques of screws see chapter Mind when mounting or replacing, page 54 and following chapters.
After mounting, check pressure equipment for tightness.
In the case of retrofitting
Shut off all inlets and outlets of the pressure equipment into which something is to be installed.
Depressurise the pressure equipment.
Initial Refrigerant Charging Maintenance
6.3 Charging refrigerant
Ensure no components or pipes are completely charged with liquid refrigerant
Verify sufficient volume is left above the liquids
Confirm only permitted refrigerants are used
Measure the precise quantity of liquid refrigerant charged
Check that the oil temperature is above 40°C
Charge the condenser or receiver directly with liquid refrigerant
Ensure blends are taken out of the charging cylinder as a bubble-free liquid
Add refrigerant on the suction side while the compressor is running, preferably at the evaporator inlet

Pack used oil safely
Dispose of used oil in an environmentally friendly manner
Fill used oil into pressure resistant vessels
Fill vessels with nitrogen as a protective gas and close them
Mark vessels with the warning sign 'flammable substance' W021 from ISO7010

Verify the following components for tightness
6.1 Testing tightness
Enter the maximum allowable pressure from the name plate
Calculate the test pressure (1.1 times the maximum allowable pressure)
Is the test pressure within the safe limits?
Test the refrigerant circuit for tightness using dry nitrogen
Record any observations or issues during the test
