Ensure the plant is turned off and cooled down

Gather necessary tools and materials for oil change

Drain the old oil from the system

Select the type of oil used for replacement

Is the plant a field installation or near operating limits?

Record the operating hours of the plant

Replace the oil if the plant has reached 10,000 to 12,000 operating hours or 3 years of operation

Ensure proper handling of ester oils

Check and record the oil level in the sight glass

Is the oil level within the acceptable range (¼ to ¾)?

Measure the oil pressure using a gauge connected to the Schrader valves on the oil pump

Is the differential oil pressure within permissible values (1.4 to 3.5 bar)?

Is the inlet pressure (suction side of oil pump) at least 0.4 bar?

Has the differential oil pressure switch cut out?

Check operating data as per chapter 5.6

Verify oil supply as per chapter 5.6

Electrical and Mechanical Checks

Check electrical cable connections for tight fitting

Verify tightening torques as per KW-100
