Ensure the plant is turned off and cooled down

Gather necessary tools and materials

Drain the old oil from the system

Check the oil level in the sight glass

Is the oil level within the specified range?

Measure the oil pressure using a gauge connected to the Schrader valves on the oil pump

Enter the differential oil pressure

Is the minimum permissible inlet pressure (suction side of oil pump) at least 0.4 bar?

Has the differential oil pressure switch cut out?

Check operating data as per chapter 5.6

Verify oil supply as per chapter 5.6

Protection Devices and Monitoring Parts

Inspect protection devices and monitoring parts

Electrical and Mechanical Checks

Check electrical cable connections for tight fitting

Verify tightening torques as per KW-100

Is the plant a field installation or near operating limits?

Record the operating hours of the plant

Replace the oil if the plant has been operating for 10,000 to 12,000 hours or 3 years

Avoid air admission into the plant and oil can

Use only originally closed oil drums
