6 Commissioning
Verify the following components were tested in the factory as a single part
Test the tightness of the connections and pipe works after installation
6.1 Testing tightness
Test the refrigerant circuit for tightness according to EN378-2 or equivalent standards
Enter the overpressure applied during the test (preferably using dry nitrogen)
Did the pressure applied during the test exceed the maximum permitted values?
Enter the test pressure (1.1-fold of the maximum allowable pressure) as per the name plate

4.7 Mounting included accessory
Have the oil pan ready.
Fit the accessories best before commissioning.
Check connection positions for the included accessory in chapter Connections, page 38.
Check tightening torques of screws in chapter Mind when mounting or replacing, page 54 and following chapters.
After mounting, check pressure equipment for tightness.
In the case of retrofitting
Shut off all inlets and outlets of the pressure equipment into which something is to be installed.
Depressurise the pressure equipment.

6.2 Evacuation
Switch on the oil heater
Open all shut-off valves and solenoid valves
Evacuate the entire system using a vacuum pump
Check if 'standing vacuum' is lower than 1.5 mbar
Repeat evacuation if necessary
Risk of damage to the motor and compressor
Ensure compressor is not started while in a vacuum
Ensure no voltage is applied to the compressor
Initial Refrigerant Charging Maintenance
6.3 Charging refrigerant
Check for blocked components and pipes
Ensure sufficient volume above the liquids
Verify use of permitted refrigerants
Measure out precise quantities of refrigerant
Keep the oil temperature above 40°C
Charge the condenser or receiver directly with liquid refrigerant
Ensure blends are taken out of the charging cylinder as a bubble-free liquid
Add refrigerant on the suction side while the compressor is running

6.4 Compressor start
6.4.1 Vibrations
Check for abnormal vibrations in the system, particularly the pipelines and capillary tubes.
Were additional safety measures required due to vibrations?
Ensure pipes are connected to the pressure equipment without load and stress to avoid mechanical stress.
