Silencer Cleaning
Warning: Silencer removal is best carried out during diaphragm replacement
Disconnect silencer from valve block
Remove silencer from dryer
Clean threads on silencer
Silencer can be thoroughly cleaned in warm soapy water. Do not use sharp instruments or tools
Ensure silencer is thoroughly clean and dry
Replace silencer by following the above procedure in reverse
Sign off on the silencer cleaning
Diaphragm Replacement
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Remove front panel as described in §11.5 and locate position of upper and lower bonnets
Lower bonnets removed?
Bonnets removed by means of four fixing screws?
Bonnet separated from valve block?
Tubing disconnected from fitting on bonnet?
Locate diaphragm assembly to be changed
Diaphragm assembly removed?
Diaphragm and bonnet components
12000 Hourly Desiccant Cartridge Replacement
Warning: Follow the procedure as shown in the diagram for both simplex and duplex units
Enter the information on the desiccant label
Did you repeat the procedure on both towers?
IMPORTANT! Do not fully tighten retaining bolts until all towers have been serviced.
Did you tighten all bolts to torque 5 Nm after servicing all towers?
Did you dispose of desiccant cartridges in accordance with local waste regulations?
Sign off on the desiccant cartridge replacement
Purge Plug Replacement
NOTE! Duplex units utilise 2 purge plugs. The plugs must be changed together. Removal of the front and rear panels is necessary for this procedure
Remove front panel of dryer as described in §11.5 and locate purge plug in upper valve block
Remove purge plug fixing screw from upper valve block
Remove purge plug from port in upper valve block downwards
Orifice in purge plug can be identified by reference number on the front face
Re-fit purge plug after ensuring suitability and correct size for operating conditions. ‘O’ rings must be in good condition and slightly lubricated with the silicone free agent before fitting
Replace and tighten purge plug fixing screw in upper valve block;
Front Panel Replacement
Dryer with front facial panel fitted
Remove single retaining screw
Remove front facial panel by tilting outwards and downwards
Dryer with front facial panel removed
Re-fit front facial panel by insertion of tongue into groove and pushing upwards and inwards
Replace single retaining screw
Sign off on the front panel replacement
