24 Monthly Pump Function Test
WARNING: Safety Precautions
Ensure the following safety precautions are taken before starting the procedure
Service the Pump
Service the pump every 24 months or after a major repair
Function Tests
Garment recognition test in accordance with Chapter 7, Page 36, Section 2
Soak test in accordance with Chapter 7, Page 39, Section 4
TAPP Communicator Checks
Battery age and charge/recharge cycles (730: and 731:)
24 Monthly Compression Pump System Maintenance
Pre-Maintenance Safety Checks
Ensure equipment has been adequately decontaminated
Ensure the pump unit is isolated from the mains/power supply
Ensure anti-static protection is used
Visual Inspection
Inspect for damage, wear, and potential faults
Rear Case Removal
Remove the mains power cord from the pump
Lay the pump face down on a flat surface
1 Yearly Basic Pump Operation Check
Initialising the Pump
Ensure no garments are connected to either pump tubeset assembly.
Plug the pump into an electrical outlet and apply mains power.
Verify the pump completes a self-test routine successfully.
Does the pump enter Standby mode after the self-test?
Connecting and Testing Garments
Connect a rolled-up foot garment to each pump tubeset assembly and confirm connection and garment types on display.
Press the Middle Control button to start the pump.
Do the green LEDs illuminate and does the compressor start?
Pump Cleaning
Safety Precautions
Ensure the equipment has been adequately decontaminated.
Isolate the pump unit from the mains/power supply by removing the plug from the wall socket.
Ensure the pump case is closed to avoid electrical shock hazards.
Ensure personnel are trained in ESD methods and have appropriate equipment and anti-static protection.
Cleaning Instructions
Ensure all covers are fitted correctly before cleaning the pump.
Stand the pump upright to prevent cleaning solution from collecting on the display panel or tubeset assemblies.
Use a soft cloth to remove the cleaning solution from the pump.
Inlet Battery Replacement
Preparation
Ensure the unit is isolated from the power supply by removing the cord plug from the wall outlet.
Lay the pump face down on a flat surface.
Removing the Rear Case Assembly
Remove the mains power cord retainer.
Pull the mains power cord IEC connector out of the IEC connector inside the pump.
Remove the bottom centre screw (different Torx screw thread).
Remove the six screws from the rear case.
Lift the rear case to reveal interconnections.
