Ensure the main switch is turned off to remove tension from the Spiralveyor.

Push the slats apart to fully stretch the chain at the upper or lower end of the Spiralveyor.

Measure the distance between the start of slat 1 and the start of slat 11.

Is the measured distance more than 387 mm [15.23"]?

Has the chain been shortened by 1.5% of the total length?

Contact AmbaFlex service for chain replacement if necessary.

Move the conveyor plate with the coloured dot to the chain wheel at the lower end.

Release the chain wheel by uncoupling the chain of the conveyor belt at the conveyor plate with the coloured dot.

Switch off the main switch of the Spiralveyor to prevent the machine from starting up.

Is a transition roller mounted?

Dismount the transition roller if present.

Dismount (drive) shaft by first dismounting the motor reductor if present.

Disconnect the main power and activate the working switch to ensure no tension on the drive.

Move the slatbelt to the service location by manually turning it.

Remove the slat by pulling back on both tips while keeping thumbs pressed on the centre.

Place new slats on the metal chain ensuring correct alignment with connecting links.

Apply force on the middle of the slat to click it onto the chain, using a rubber hammer if necessary.

Check for skidding on the conveyor plates

Identify potential causes of skidding

Are the HF conveyor plates worn out?

Replace worn HF conveyor plates if necessary

Are the products being transported as per the technical specification?

Contact the supplier if skid cannot be remedied

Check the conveyor belt for issues

Were any conveyor plates replaced?

Check the transition and reversing rollers for issues

Do you need to contact the supplier due to frequent O-belt issues?

Ensure daily checks are performed by the operator as per user’s manual § 3.5.2
