Dismantling Procedure for Panels

Progressively loosen the nuts one girder after the other

Loosen bottom nuts one panel after the other

Do not unscrew stud bolts or nuts for girder assembly

Remove panels starting with the highest weight

Refer to Appendix 1 for panel weights

Use welded or screwed lifting lugs to lift panels safely

Baffle Dismantling and Reassembly Procedure

Pull out the ladder formed by uprights and baffle plates

Remove triangular PTFE cord gaskets from longitudinal girder lining

Remove the complete baffle cage

Clean the triangular groove of the longitudinal girder lining and remove grease

Install a new triangular PTFE cord gasket if required and press into position

Ensure all original components are reassembled

Verify panels are fully tightened

Enter the design pressure indicated on the nameplate

Is the maximum allowed differential pressure indicated on the nameplate?

Ensure one circuit is empty and the other is full and pressurized at design pressure

Pressurize the second circuit to secure the differential pressure

Did the pressure stabilize after 30 minutes?

Ensure the Compabloc is empty before opening.

Collect remaining fluid to prevent environmental pollution.

Are both circuits completely drained?

Are both circuits not pressurized and drains open?

Mark panels with identification symbols for correct re-installation.

Ensure panel is secured and cannot fall when unscrewed.

Fix the Compabloc to the floor to prevent tilting during dismantling.

Ensure chemical cleaning is carried out by authorized and qualified personnel.

Take all necessary protection and precautions for health, safety, and environment regarding chemicals.

Ensure compatibility of cleaning agents with materials of construction such as metal and gaskets.

Select the type of deposit and corresponding cleaning agent

Check suitability of cleaning protocol with materials of the Compabloc.

Is reverse flow direction (back flushing mode) used for optimal results?

Monitor pressure drop through the unit.
