External Connections Inspection

Check for cracks in the cladding or ports due to external connections

Describe any issues with external connections support or alignment

Check for cracks or tears in the gasket

Check if the gasket is hard or brittle

Check for compression set (permanent deformation) in the gasket

Rub the gasket with your thumb or finger to check for black residue

Does the gasket leave a black residue on your finger?

Check for signs of erosion along the inner edge of the gasket

Ensure the heat exchanger is turned off and cooled down

Gather necessary tools and safety equipment

Check for visible signs of wear or damage

Inspect the heat exchanger fins for damage or blockage

Record the inlet and outlet temperature readings

Are the temperature readings within the expected range?

Inspect plates for signs of damage or leaks

Are there large indentations or evidence of corrosion?

Is there any permanent deformation on the gasket grooves?
