Open the circuit-breaker (Circuit-breaker OFF)

Switch the circuit-breaker to the connected position and reposition the crank in its seat (Circuit-breaker connected)

Adjust the protection trip unit according to design specifications (Trip unit Parameters)

Remove the Ekip TT unit if present

Is the undervoltage coil energized?

Power the gearmotor to charge the springs at the relevant rated voltage

Perform some closing and opening operations

Power the undervoltage coil and perform the closing operation on the circuit-breaker

Turn off the voltage supply to the trip unit

Power the undervoltage coil again and perform the closing operation on the circuit-breaker

Frequency in standard environments

Frequency in dusty environments

Set the circuit-breaker to the open position and discharge the springs of the operating mechanism

Extract the circuit-breaker from the fixed part (for withdrawable circuit-breaker)

Disconnect the power supply and visibly ground the terminals (for fixed circuit-breakers)

Inspections and General Cleaning

Ensure the circuit-breaker is clean

Putting into service — Introduction

Acknowledge the necessity of the general check when the circuit-breaker is put into service for the first time or after prolonged inactivity

WARNING — RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Ensure all switchgear apparatus is de-energized before testing the circuit-breaker

Verify that only skilled personnel perform the verifications

Perform opening and closing operations

Verify spring loading lever moves regularly

Check that the interlocking devices are installed and operate correctly

Ensure interlocks are not tested in the Test or Disconnected positions

Describe any issues found during the interlock check
