Warning: Do not remove or insert the memory unit when the control unit is powered.

9 Years Main Cooling Fan Replacement
Stop the drive and do the steps in section Electrical safety precautions before you start the work.
Undone the two mounting screws of the fan mounting plate
Turned the mounting plate downwards
Disconnected the fan power supply wires
Removed the fan mounting plate
Removed the fan by undoing the two mounting screws
Installed the new fan in reverse order. Made sure that the fan blows upwards
Reset the counter (if used) in group 5 in the primary control program
Sign off on the fan replacement

Screw(s) that fasten the drive module to the cable entry box undone?
Two screws or bolts that attach the drive module to the wall from top undone?
Two screws or bolts which attach the drive module and cable entry box to the wall undone?
Drive lifted off?
9 Years Auxiliary Cooling Fan Replacement
Drive stopped and electrical safety precautions followed
Lower front cover removed
Control panel power supply wires unplugged from the control unit terminal X13
Auxiliary cooling fan power supply wires unplugged from the terminal X208:FAN1
Upper front cover removed
Retaining clips released
Fan lifted up
New fan installed with arrow pointing up
Sign off on the fan replacement
Capacitors Maintenance
Warning: Capacitor maintenance should be performed by trained personnel only.
Check if the capacitors are damaged
If capacitors are damaged, contact ABB immediately.
Measure the surrounding air temperature
If the temperature is high, take measures to decrease it.
Enter the last date the drive was powered
If the drive has not been powered for a year or more, the capacitors must be reformed.
