Clean the outside surfaces of the print engine with a lint-free cloth. Use a mild detergent solution or desktop cleaner sparingly, as needed.

Sign off on the monthly maintenance

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure

If any component is worn out, order replacement parts from authorized Zebra reseller

Upload the receipt of ordered parts

If parts received, proceed with replacement

If replacement is successful, recycle the old components according to local standards

Warning: Ensure the print engine is turned off before starting the cleaning process.

Is the interior of the print engine free from dirt and lint?

Is the printhead-release latch in the open position?

Has the media and ribbon been removed from the print engine?

Has the printhead been cleaned with the Preventative Maintenance kit or a solution of 90% isopropyl alcohol and 10% deionized water?

Have the platen roller, pinch roller, and peel roller been cleaned with a lint-free cloth moistened with alcohol?

Has the ribbon and media been reloaded?
